Treasure Coast Police Ball

Many residents in the Treasure Coast are getting ready for the 12th annual Treasure Coast Police Ball. Earlier this week I got a chance to catch up with Paul Pearson who is the director of the Fort Pierce Police Athletic League center and the organizer for the ball each year. Mr. Pearson is a former Fort Pierce police officer.

Mr. Pearson expressed that this year’s speaker will be Congressman Brian Mast (REP) district 18 which covers St. Lucie County, Martin County and Palm Beach Gardens. The emcee will be Fort Pierce Police Chief Diane Hobley-Burney, who was last year’s speaker. Catering the event will be Silver Plater; a catering company based out of Port Saint Lucie, Florida. And police cadets from Indian River State College’s police academy will be serving.

Also, Mr. Pearson stated that tickets normally sellout a week before the event. He is expecting estimated 170 people to attend the ball this year. Among those attending are local police officers, directors of different organizations, and city officials. The venue continues to be at the P.A.L center located on 903 S. 21st street, Fort Pierce, Florida.
