In a couple of weeks a handful of Major League Baseball clubs will journey down to Florida to begin training for the upcoming season that begins in April. Pitchers and catchers will make their way down here in about a week while the rest of the players will be down here by March 1.

Known as the Grapefruit League, for those training in Florida rather than Arizona, 16 baseball clubs call Florida home for the spring as they prepare for opening day on April 5, working out the kinks that were their downfall in 2009 and looking at a clean slate for 2010.
