Majestic 11 offers more for less than competitor AMC

In the small town of Vero Beach, many young adults are left asking themselves what to do on a Friday night. And most feel that the options are slim. Luckily, there is a choice of two theaters to see a movie and catch up with friends. Some residents of Vero Beach might not think there is a difference between the two theaters, AMC and Majestic 11, except for maybe location. But to avid moviegoers like college students and other young adults, there is a big difference especially when it comes to the prices of admission and concessions. Every dollar matters with the economy still in a penny pinching state.
“I used to work at AMC and Majestic 11 is just better,” said Michael Ganey, a manager at Majestic 11. “At Majestic, we bring people in with our exceptional customer service and prices. They keep coming back because of our winning personalities and great deals. Our concession prices alone are $4 to $5 cheaper per item than AMC.” An AMC manager denied any comment.
The Majestic 11 Theater is at 940 14th Lane off U.S. 1 next to Kmart. The ticket prices start at $6.75 for matinees and are $8 per person any time after on any day. The prices don’t go up during the weekends. There are $2 Thursdays, which offer $2 popcorn, drinks and candy. AMC offers the same prices for matiness, but after 4 p.m. the price goes up to $9 per person. And for those who go the movies frequently the dollar savings in admission for just tickets can go a long way.
Majestic 11 also show theater productions of the Metropolitan Opera from New York. The theater is also very popular for movie marathons, such as Twilight and Harry Potter, and show more midnight premieres of new movies.
“I enjoy Majestic 11 over AMC because Majestic has the all-day movie marathons, and I’m obsessed with the Twilight Saga,” said an avid movie goer Kendal Lee. “Plus they have a café menu with all kinds of different coffees and the seats recline back way more!”

I found this very useful, I am new to the Vero Besch area andI didnt know that Majestic 11 had $2 Thursday. Also, the price difference of the two theaters. Thanks for the help.
