Carmelo Anthony, a basketball star in his own right, is seeking a new location. The perennial all-star forward refused to sign an three year,$65 million contract extension with the Denver Nuggets before the season started. He is not content with the direction of the team and is seeking a new location.
The Denver Nuggets are a playoff team with him, but he feels he can not win a NBA championship there. His stats on the offensive end show how unique and rare his basketball skills are.
Anthony is a good player, but not a great player due to his lack of maturity and not being able to take over a game from every aspect. Carmelo Anthony compared to other NBA superstars Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, and Kevin Durant. Their ability to make their teammates better and win in the playoffs sets them apart.
He has a difficult time motivating himself, but is not able to bring the best out of his team mates in games. He still has room to improve on the defensive end and as a leader. He is averaging 23.8 points per game this season. Teams are not pulling out the draft picks and players to get Anthony because they are not sure he will sign an extension with their team once he is there. The trade deadline ends on Feb. 24 2011. The teams interested in bringing Carmelo Anthony to their team are the New Jersey Nets, Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, and Houston Rockets.
