Holiday adventure in South Florida

BY ALAN IBARRA

Finals week is soon to end and the anticipation for college students to go and venture begins.

Places throughout the Treasure Coast and Florida hold special events during the Christmas season, but many students often search for alternatives to the typical theme park visits with their families.

Here are some events to enjoy with friends that will change your holiday up a bit.

#1- Jam Cruise

Jam Cruise takes place from January 6-11 of 2016. The cruise combines both elements of both a cruise and a musical festival to deliver a unique experience.  Although it is some time after New Years and Christmas it is still a worth the trip as it offers an extensive set-list of DJ’s and Artists that will make you forget about that math final you miraculously passed.

#2-Cuba

If you have never been out of the country Cuba would be a great first stop. Many companies have now began to list Cuba as one of their travel destinies. It can get expensive when budgeting everything so look for a company that has what your looking for when traveling. InsightCuba is a company that allows college students to visit Cuba on group tours and designs a specific itinerary for the group.

#3-Jingle Beach

Jingle Beach is another Miami-based music Festival taking place in December 26 and December 27. This musical festival is more affordable and spans throughout the whole day with some great international DJ’s. Some call it the smaller version of Ultra, the music event that this is taking place next year in March.
